Drama and Musical Theatre classes at KJ Theatre Arts

We offer Musical Theatre from ages 6 upwards and the option of LAMDA exams in Acting and Musical Theatre.

Classes explore group songs and dances as well as acting scenes.

We have had great success in our recent LAMDA exams with all Grade 6 and 7 students achieving Distinctions. Grade 6-8 (medal levels) carry UCAS points. Our mini and junior musical theatre classes are combined with jazz dance to give a more rounded musical theatre experience at this young age. Mini Jazz and Musical Theatre is for students from Reception-Year 2. The class will incorporate group singing and dancing. Students will learn jazz technique and dance routines as well as musical theatre numbers from modern and older musicals.

Saturday 11.15-11.55am

Junior Jazz and Musical Theatre is aimed at students from Year 3-Year 6. The class will incorporate group singing and dancing. Students will learn jazz technique and dance routines as well as musical theatre numbers from modern and older musicals.

Saturday 3.20-4.05pm

Senior Drama and Musical Theatre for students 11years+ who wish to develop their singing, acting and dancing. Students will work on group pieces in class as well as working towards solo LAMDA exams. Students have performance opportunities throughout the year, these include performing at Yateley Christmas markets and in our whole school show or summer musical. Students also have the opportunity to compete in music competitions throughout the year. We have a separate jazz class for this age group.
